Full papers should be between 5 000 and 8 000 words, exceptionally 10 000, with shorter 'think pieces' of between 2000 and 3000 words. Keep notes to a minimum; number them typed as a list before the References at the end of the manuscript.
References should be represented in the text by author and date (typi- cally: … as Gellner [Gellner, 1993] comments…, as demonstrated [Reed, 1992; Alvesson, 1992] ), and collated into an alphabetical and date-order (single- spaced) list at the end of the manuscript, in the following style.
Books. Leonard P. Postmodern Welfare. London: Sage, 1997.
Journal articles. Clarke J. Capturing the Customer: Consumerism and Social Welfare // Self, Agency and Society, vol. 1(1), 1996. pp.55-73.
Chapters in books. Morris L. Legitimate membership of the welfare community // Welfare: Needs, Rights and Risks / ed. by Langan M.. London: Rout- ledge, 1998. P. 215-257.
Edited books. Lewis G. (ed.) Forming Nation, Framing Welfare. London: Routledge, 1998.
The articles and a short, informative abstract of approximately 100 words, with 6-8 key words should be sent by email.
